Ski touring is a form of downhill or telemark skiing closer to nature since you don't use a ski lift, but, on the contrary, you use the trails by equipping your skis of "sealskins", which are removed to descend the slopes. Accompanied by a qualified local guide, there are many beautiful places easily accessible from Valdeblore to discover.
A minimum of on-piste skiing technique and good physical condition are essential for skiing hiking. Ski boots and bindings specially designed for the ascent are required, as well as safety equipment, including a shovel, probe and ARVA (Avalanche Victim Search Device).
