In partnership with the Mercantour national park, the joint association for the development of the Vésubie valley and the Valdeblore offers you, as part of an approach promoting ecotourism, to discover the Authion massif in a different way, a fortress natural landscape overlooking the Vésubie and Roya valleys.

By means of an electrically assisted bicycle and a dedicated smartphone application, you are offered, from the Col de Turini, the opportunity to discover an exceptional route both in natural and cultural terms, the loop Authion located at high altitude and largely in the heart of the Mercantour National Park.

It should be noted that with the exception of the route you are going to follow, cycling is systematically prohibited in the heart of the Mercantour National Park. You will be careful not to leave the RD68 road other than on foot, racks are installed on the course to allow you to park and attach your bike to facilitate discovery.

From the Napoleonic wars to the last world conflict, the site of Authion recalls with its many ruined forts the tragic feats of arms that took place there. Today a peaceful place for grazing, the Authion plateau is particularly suitable for a ride on an electrically assisted bicycle.

The exceptional panorama all along the route allows you to admire the eastern part of the Mercantour massif and the final foothills of the Alps which plunge towards the Mediterranean.
